Clover in a Picture Book

My good friend E spotted a picture book in a book store's display window, while we were taking a walk in town one day.

She said, "I saw this book the other day and laughed at the cover illustration, lol!"


This is the picture book cover!  I laughed hard because the book's title was "Takako", which happened to be my First Name!

As we flipped through the book, we learned that the main character girl's name is Takako. She is a very old fashioned girl who just transferred to a new elementary school.

On her first day at school, she sits next to a boy in the class room. Guess what! The boy's t-shirt has a Clover!!


When they go on a school excursion, children are picking leaves of Four Leaved Clover!!!




What a huge surprise again! E and I were very very impressed!

And, of course, I bought the book!

My son sends me signs in many amazing ways.

Birthday Present from K

This article was originally posted on September 26, 2011🍀 My birthday is July 2. Without any apparent reason, my back started to hurt badly a few days prior to my birthday. Yes, I have had back pain before, but it had never been this severe. I decided to go see an orthopedic doctor/chiropractor to feel better so that I could keep taking care of my little girl and working as a PTO board member at her school. I was very busy at that time. On July 1st, I saw an orthopedic technician whom one of my best friends, A, recommended to me. I was given an acupuncture treatment as well as physical massage. On my way home, I was thinking to myself, "How unlucky I am!  Tomorrow is my birthday and I had to go visit a clinic for my back pain. K, let me know if this does have any meaning." This article was written on October 25, 2011 🍀 Currently, I am a homeroom mother for my daughter's kindergarten. I usually do my work in the parents' room on the second floor. The parents' room has a big window with curtains. When you open the curtains, you can see the play ground right below. The other day, looking out the window alone, I saw my daughter running outside to play. I peered through a crack in the curtain and watched her play for a while. She was chatting with friends, dancing excitedly, and smiling happily. I found myself smiling also while watching my daughter play. And, that was when I realized.
